TTTech Industrial’s Edge PTP stack provides highly accurate clock synchronization for TSN networks. Edge PTP implements the IEEE 1588-2008 Precision Time Protocol and IEEE 802.1AS to enable the synchronization of real-time clocks across the network within a nanosecond range. Support for multiple time domains allows for different clocks to be provided for various applications. The stack has been optimized to work seamlessly with TTTech Industrial’s Edge IP Solution but is also portable to other devices and operating systems.

TTTech Industrial incorporates 20 years’ experience in time-scheduled networking into our Deterministic Ethernet products. They enable users to benefit from guarantee of service, which allows for the convergence of controls, streaming and data traffic over one standard Ethernet network without affecting real-time performance or wasting bandwidth. Customers can use TSN to synchronize control networks, seamlessly integrate systems and secure critical network traffic against denial-of-service attacks and network flooding.

IEEE 1588-2008 PTP

Precise Time Protocol (PTP) enables precise synchronization of device clocks in packet-based networks. Devices are automatically synchronized to the most accurate clock in the network.

IEEE 802.1AS-2011

IEEE 802.1AS-2011 is part of the TSN set of standards and defines timing and synchronization for time-sensitive applications in bridged local area networks.
