2021 08 Realease Nerve FI

TTTech Industrial has recently released the latest software update for its Nerve edge computing platform. Nerve version 2.3 offers new features and improvements on existing functionality to provide users with the best possible user experience.

“We continuously extend and optimize functionalities for our customers. In this software update, we have focused on additional options for user-friendly data display and configuration in our web-based Management System. This increases our customers’ flexibility in using Nerve and adapting the solution to their production situation,” says Alexander Bergner, Director Product Management Industrial IoT, TTTech Industrial.

Nerve can now be used to display the output of multiple virtual machines running at the edge on one monitor with configurable grid style video output. This allows for easier overview of production parameters to better plan processes.

The integration of data gateway configuration in the Management System GUI provides customers with a single pane for all data configuration in Nerve for increased ease-of-use.

Workload logging settings have also been integrated in the Management System GUI, so logging can now be controlled directly within Nerve. With this feature, customers gain access to further tracking of interaction with their machine data across their production facilities and can more easily analyze trends and events.

“We are also happy to announce that we have included more server hardware into our range of qualified Nerve devices, extending the scope in line with our open platform approach. A qualified Nerve device is one that meets the minimum hardware requirements to run all of Nerve’s features. We have a list of devices customers can use and we also provide qualification in case a customer has a specific device they want to use,” explains Alexander Bergner.

The server range of fully qualified Nerve devices has been expanded with Advantech ASMB-825-SPK. Other qualified servers include HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10, SuperServer 1019D-16C-FHN13TP, 5029C-T and E100-9AP-IA. A full list of qualified Nerve devices can be found at our documentation page.
